I teach a graduate course in tech. for library services. My students have asked that I post this question to LM_NET. Many of their students love Accelerated Reader. It is very popular in this region of eastern North Carolina. What are some of LM_NET subscriber opinions on this software and similar read-test-keepscore kinds of software. Do you think it helps or hinders reading comprehension? Some have said it is good only for reading motivation and does not really improve comprehension skills. What do you think?
