Communication between media specialists and principals

Hi.  I am taking a graduate course in administrative principles in the
media center.  I am researching communication between principals and media
specialists.  I am wondering what benefits can occur when the media
specialist communicates the needs, goals, and short-term and long-term
plans of the media program to the principal and where is the best place to
hold meetings with the principal, in the media center or in the principal's
office?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!  Thank You!
