(I just tried to send this directly to Margaret, but the computer didn't = like=20 heraddress.) I finally can help someone with a quote! I have this one=20 postedin my library. Children now love luxury, they have bad manners, contempt for=20 authority, they show disrespect for their elders, and love chatter in place = of exercise. =20 Childrenare now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no = longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before = company,=20 gobbleup dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize over their = teachers. (Any resemblance to the present day situation is purely=20 historical.) By the way, you might want to read Taylor Caldwell's _Man of Iron_.
