ANNOUNCING

 From Now On
The Educational Technology Journal
Vol 9|No 7|March|2000

Available free on line at http://fno.org

Two articles this month:

1. When the Book, When the Net

In this update of a 1995 FNO classic,
McKenzie argues even more strongly,
five years later, for the continuing
importance of the book as an
information technology, along with the
book's favorite resting place - the library.

2. The Software Trap

For twenty years, schools have trained teachers in
application software, hoping that such training
will lead to robust classroom use. McKenzie
describes the myths that make this a foolish tactic.
First published as an article in the July, 1999 issue
of eSchool News.
