In this wrap-up of the Milkcarton series, Janie's second father (who
took care of the family finances) has a heart attack and stroke.
Janie is appointed to help with the paper work for her mother and
finds a file folder marked H.P.  Inside was a whole bunch of
information about Hannah and a checkbook showing quarterly
payments to her.  There was a large sum of money in the account.
Janie decides to go to Bolder, CO and confront her.  But once
there with Reeve, Stephen and Brian, they all decide not to meet
Hannah because of what it would do to the families and just make
one final, large check, ending it all.  Because the story opens out
with four people telling it, I had some trouble getting into it but once
I did, it was worth it.  This 181 is an excellent wrap up to the whole
saga -- not a lot of action, but a head trip about ethics and
psychology so it may only be appreciated by sophisticated readers.
