Hi Folks--

How tickled I was to open up my LM_NET mail tonight and see my name in a
heading! Mary Ellen Hamalainen asked where she could find my Books Kids Will
Sit Still For, a question I get asked a fair amount. For those of you
wondering how to get it, it is most definitely available from Bowker. I have
it on pretty good authority that they have 1,000 of them left in their
warehouse, so here's what you do. Call Customer Service at Bowker at
800-521-8110 and tell him you heard from me that there are books available.
Don't ask me why Barnes & Noble and Amazon list it as OP, because 1,000
3-pound books are kind of hard to hide!

I'm going on the road for BER in a week for 2 weeks of children's lit.
seminars. If you are planning to come to one, be sure to come up and say hi.
We'll do lunch! I had a ball in Texas a few weeks back with LM_NET pals in
every city, but I don't know a soul in Omaha, Sioux Falls, El Paso, or
Jackson, Miss.

Dear LM_NETters,

I am at a new school library this year and it does not have any selection
aides. I will be ordering the new A to Zoo but my favorite resources are
the Judy Freeman books. _Books kids will sit still for_ and _More books
kids will sit still for_. The second one is still in print and I can order
it but for some reason the first one is out of print.

I have a my own copy at home, and a copy at my other library, but I really
want a copy for my second library. Does anyone have any idea how I can get
this or does someone perhaps have an extra copy they could bear to part with
that I could purchase?

TIA
Mary Ellen
