Target: School ID/Security Systems

        Good morning, LM_NET Members--
                The Methuen Public Schools is looking for a school
ID/security system, and we're wondering if anyone out there has a system
they are happy with. Our "dream" system is one which will:

                have "swipe stations" at each door entrance where faculty
and students would need to swipe through a barcoded ID card for admittance
into the building

                use the data accumulated from the entrance swipe to compile
an attendance list for the day

                be compatible with the automated library system and use the
IDs to check-out materials

                be compatible with the AS400, which we currently use for
attendance

                dovetail with our cafeteria software program.

                If you have such a system, please drop us a line. Thanks for
any help that you might be able to provide.
