students needed for survey

Hi Netters,
    A friend of mine who works for a California childrens' advocacy
organization called Children Now asked for my assistance in helping them
find high school teachers and students who might want to participate in
an electoral survey project. I figured this list has more such contacts
than I could ever personally know, so I am posting her request as it was
posed to me. If you are interested, please respond to Phyllis Willet at

 Children Now  has launched a new project called Youth Voices which is
hooking up with high school classes and after school sites that have
internet access.  The purpose is to survey teens periodically about
various issues and make the results available to the media to try and
gets kids' voices out in the world.  We did our
first run on this in the period leading up to the CA primary with 7
sites and it was deemed a success for an initial effort.  The idea is to
expand it over the next 6 months and really be able to use it in the
fall election.

We prepare the survey and set the teacher/other adult supervisor up with

some training.  S/he then supervises the kids in the process.
