Am taking a leave of absence and am working on interview process for my replacement with the principal. Have no desire to reinvent the wheel, so just send or point me in the driection of interview questions for library media specialist. Many thanks. Did have to write the job description because people, including principal's secretary were asking questions like, "Do you have to have a teaching cetificate to be a librarian?" and I have heard that paraprofessional aides thought thye could apply for the job! Since all my diplomas hang in the library, that one really puzzles me. We got a letter in the mail in response to the ad for the postion from someone whose primary background is magazine editing - no teaching or any school experience, no MLS, no Library Media Special Certificate. Perhaps fault of the ad for not mentioning degree and certification. Oh, well. Thank you for any help ou can offer.
