ADM: Book by Book Inventory

Dear LM_NETter's:

I am approaching the end-of-the-year overload.
I had to have career ladder finished Friday.
I had to turn in requisitions today.
I have to have a curriculum revision completed by May 5.
I have to complete a state report by June 1.
I have to write and distribute a narrative report, circulation statistics,
planned activities, teacher-contact, collection report, student and faculty
surveys.

Here's my question:

How many of you actually manage to complete a book-by-book inventory by
scanning barcodes?
Isn't it awfully discouraging to find out what is missing that you did not
know about?  Isn't it frustrating to discover which books were skipped and
never cataloged or barcoded?
