For some years to get a whole class's attention, I have used a hand up and a loud voice counting (with questionable effectiveness). I am looking for something that would make a high-pitched note or sound, carrying over voices. I'd also like to find something small enough to be able to be carried in an apron pocket. I can't see blasting a police whistle (altho it fits the description). Has anyone used something for this purpose that you'd recommend? --------------------- Johanna Halbeisen Woodland Elementary School (preK-4) 80 Powder Mill Rd.
