This is a great idea... and shows off some technical skills to boot :D

This year, in spite of the fact I have a very supportive principal, I
started providing a monthly report just for administration. Some of
the info was included in my monthly newsletter to teachers but the
administrative report focused more on numbers and goals and routines
and included things we'd completed or things we were still trying
to find time to do. Has it paid off? Perhaps. We will be implementing
AR next year (and also have some serious recataloging issues to deal
with). I've been given one year of additional support personnel (half-time
position) to help make all that happen within a reasonable period of
time.

Of course, in an elementary library with a zillion children and
a zillion classes, we rarely experience that "what do you do?"
attitude. Our "busy-ness" is usually obvious -- in tornado-like
fashion. But folks DO forget there are things to be done in a library
besides teaching and working directly with all the little munchkins who
travel thru each week.
