Hello,
You have been able to supply good information to many questions, so I am
seeking your help and thoughts on this one.
During this school year I've taught a new course --which I designed----Media
Literacy.
Using the Big 6 ideas, I've emphasized learning about the media message as
well as the methods by which it is communicated... I used ideas from
JustThink company as well as a few others.

My classes are semester course, optionals, taught in a 90 minute block and
have been open to 6 - 8 grade students...each semester a different group
took the course.
We've studied video camera work, Internet information, reference of all
kinds and library book information.. ..next year digital camera work.
The students made Powerpoint presentations, Word reports, etc., videos.,
personal presentations, wrote journal articles, will cap it all off with a
visit to a Research Center tomorrow.

What creative ideas have you for COURSE CONTENT that might generate
enthusiasm among students new to this class for next year?
