Is anyone out there familiar with the software "School/Home Planet?" It is a software program whereby parents can get into the school computer system to check their students grades and assignments from home. I understand it comes with a catalog of 2000 web sites coordinated with school curriculums. Does anyone have experience with this? Our school has gotten it and I need to know how it will affect the library. I had thought of ordering Net Link to add to our Alexander, but the head of our technology (who makes the decisions regarding hardware and software for the library) thinks it will be a duplicate of the Planet program and that we do not need it. My own opinion is that we need the web catalog on the library catalog as well. Help, please.
