Greetings,
   Dr. R. Takaki of California spoke to our faculty a week ago and gave them the 
desire to implement more multicultural themes into our curriculum.  We have two of 
his books.  " A Different Mirror" and "A Larger Memory", but would like to have a 
terrific book with a multicultural theme to interest and inform the staff this 
summer.  They would have one book to read this summer and come back to discussion 
groups and curriculum study groups that would encourage and develop multicultural 
lessons for all departments.
   If you have read a terrific and exciting story that includes a multicultural 
theme, that would be great as well.
