Target : Reviews of They cage the animals at night

I'm hoping that someone is a better pack rat than I...I am looking for
reviews of They cage the animals at night, and I have not been able to
find any.  I have SLJs back to 86, but the book was published in '84.
I have tried the alliance disk - no reviews listed, and Amazon only has
customer reviews.

By the way, the author is Burch.

The reason I am looking - our sixth grade team is trying to determine its
suitability as a sixth grade class novel.  Do any of your schools use this
book?  Any problems with parents wanting kids to opt out?
