GEN: Newbery Candidates

Greetings,
      Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what they would consider
strong candidates for the Newbery medal this year.  I've seen the input
this listserv has had for the Caldecott and was curious what great novels
people have noticed so far this year.

A few I've noticed include...
Konigsburg - Silent to the Bone
Cushman - Matilda Bone
Gantos - Joey Pigza Loses Control
