I second Susan in urging LM-NETters to contact Senators and Congressmen regarding
this issue. As she said, the process is straightforward and relatively painless.  I 
used
elements of the form letter offered and added a few details of my own.

Our school board has opposed filters and placed the responsibility for safe and 
effective
internet use where it belongs -- into the hands of professionals.
