Seems a lot of us are looking for Frindle activities. All I got were requests for a hit. I have so far had students look in the dictionary and show me where Frindle would be if it were a word. Using and discussing guide words, abc order, etc. In the archives someone suggested having students discuss with their parents any "made up family words" such as the one in the book - gwagala for music. I did this with my students and typed up a brief letter for students to take home. We are going to compile the answers, write definintions in dictionary format, type them on the computer, illustrate and make a "dictionary of Frindle words". Not sure how it will turn out, but the students seem enthusiastic so far.
