Hi everyone, The library that I work at is very strict about copying music. I recently finished a class about copyright and the internet. Basic rule is that you can use most everything on the internet if it is for educational purposes, but if there is a question it is a good idea to ask permission to use the material. Does this rule apply to music? We have had several requests from the choir and band teachers who need us to copy music for their classes. The librarian refuses to copy any music of any kind. If the music is for educational purposes won't the copyright allow me to copy the music? Thanks for your help.
