GEN: Metric "Jingle"

Remember when we were all going to convert to the
metric system????  Well, if you do, maybe you will
also remember the jingle that was supposed to help us
all relate to it!  I think it was sponsored by some
department of the US Govt. and it received heavy radio
airplay for a while.  I thought it might help our
students who have trouble with metrics.

I can't piece together the whole thing, but here are
the lines I can remember:

There's the meter
It's a little more than a yard
If you think about it that way
It's really not so hard

The gram
About the weight of a single raisin
About the weight of a paperclip
Now isn't that amazing?

There was also a verse about the liter and maybe a
couple more.  Any light you could shed on this would
be great!
