Have any of you read the book by Strasser, Give the Boy a Gun? My
principal pulled it from my new book order list. She would not
approve the entire order unless this book was taken off the list. I
sent her the reviews, starred in Booklist etc., to no avail. I've
never had a book challenged before by a principal, before it was even
read by me or by her. Is there something that I don't know? Was this
book blacklisted? The subject is various views about a Columbine
High-like incident - I would love to hear if anyone has had an
incident or an opinion about this book. I haven't yet read it and my
local library hasn't received it. I am in the dark!
