Hello LM_NETters:

I am back again to tell you about the exciting video, produced by a
friend of mine, which has been acquired by PBS to air during the month
of November, starting on the 9th. The film was made as part of the
National Day of Honor 2000 project (see http://www.dayofhonor2000.org/ )
which is a call to honor minority servicemen and women who fought in
WWII.

The video chronicles various minorities' involvement with WWII with
personal oral histories and film clips. You can read about the video at
http://www.dayofhonor2000.org/InvisibleSoldier.html or at PBS by going
to http://www.pbs.org/pressroom/2000/fall/releases/invisible.html .

You can even find out whether your local PBS station is carrying the
video this month by going to this page:

on a special offer for teachers at this location on the site.

links to a number of websites dealing with various minorities
contributions to the war effort.
