I posted this last week as a stumper, but have received no answers. A teacher in the school where I am the new EMS went to a workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at which the presenter read from a book of legends and folktales. The presenter did not give the author, title or other information about the tales. One tale was about a father and a son. There was a moral at the end, but the reader was to help provide the moral. The teacher was very impressed and wants to find a book or books of legends or folktales in which the student-readers will need to provide the moral. Does anyone know of any books like this appropriate for Middle School grades 6-8, maybe even grades 2-up reading level? If you can post an answer to the list I will look great to this teacher. This in a school where there has been no librarian, only an aide, for 4 years.
