Thanks so much to all who responded. Once again, you are the best! Here is
the summary:

______________
35% Fiction
65% Non Fiction
______________
I've got 15 shelves of fiction, 12 of reference, and 22 of non-fiction.
This is a 7-12 school of about 350 students. Hope this helps.
_____________
In my library there are approximately 6 circulating non-fiction books to
every
one fiction book. I'd be interested in the HIT.
_____________
In my current library the fiction section is 50%. In my previous library
the fiction section comprised 40%.
_____________
My fiction collection is about 1/7 th of my book collection. I would
be interested in knowing what others have and if there are recommendations
regarding the split.
Thanks.
_____________
my guess is about 10 non-fiction books to every 1 fiction.
_____________
In my 9-12 library the fiction collection composes approximately 22 percent
of the total number of bound volumes. Circulation figures show that fiction
accounts for over 40 percent of books checked out. Go figure!
____________
What a good question! Mine is 16% of the total number of books in the
library. However, I'd really like to get it up to about 20-25%. It will
be interesting to see what other answers you receive. Please post a
summary for the rest of us when you can.
___________

They have a CD, Focus on Books you might wish to explore.

_______________
We have 4,000 fiction and 16,000 plus non-fiction books. ratio: 1 to 4
APPROXIMATELY.
______________
Our fiction and story collections together comprise 13.5% of our total
collection.

Our fiction represents 20% of our circs, though, so there is room to grow
there.

We are a 9-12 grade suburban school.
