Target-Middle School advanced readers novel study titles needed

I will be working with several teams of 6th grade students in the top 5%
of their class in reading.  I am looking for titles of books that may or
may not be available with a study guide.  I am open to suggestions, but
like the idea of using a multi-cultural novel since we are primarily
white ethnically.  If anyone has been involved with a similar endeavor
please pass along the details.
