GEN: Cataloguing heading

Hi folks
I am currently cataloguing a book about Pocahontas and I need to know the
correct phrase for the subject heading.
Is it North American Indians or Native Americans?

Our standard heading says the former, but I see the latter most often used
on LM_NET.
