Target: Elementary - Support for automated library

Hi,

I am part of a committee to give reasons to the chief financial district
officer as to why an automated catalog is worthwhile in an elementary
school.  Are there any articles supporting this.  Here are some reasons I
believe, any to add?

More efficient use of materials - can track down where something is more
easily for others to use.

More time efficient for many clerical tasks therefore giving more time to
work with students.

Students see technoloy being used for an actual workplace purpose.

Less waste of materials - can more easily match materials to needs.

Student vocabulary development.  They are interested so check in, checkout,
renew, etc. are words that are worth understanding.

Students can learn advanced searching techniques.

Any others or comments?
