With all the conversation about the recent election, several teachers were discussing various aspects of the lengthy campaign. The question that has us stumped right now is: When were campaign placards first used in presidential campaigns? OR did this sign connected to a stick originate in some other aspect of society? Any help with an answer or where to look for an answer would be appreciated.
