Betty Goyette to Speak at SCSU

Hi all...

As part of our MLS course "Foundations of Librarianship" Betty Goyette,
Library Media Consultant for the State Department of Education will be
presenting a talk on "New and Emerging Roles for School Library Media
Programs" on Wednesday, November 29th at 5 p.m. MLS students and current
Library Media Specialists are invited to attend. Ms. Goyette will speak
about the paradigm shift talking place and some major educational
initiatives that are going to effect library media programs. She also
indicated that she will address questions about Connecticut's Alternate
Route to Certification Program. The program will take place in Room 417 of
the Buley Library on Southern's campus. Expect the talk to last about an
hour. Join us if you are able. Admission is free.
