Subject: Target: Book title

Dear LM_NETTERS,

I was asked if you could figure out what book this is. Of course you =
can!

"I can't remember the author or the name of the book, so it truly is a =
puzzle. The main character is a young boy who finds a field and builds =
his own fort. I particularly remember that the main feature of the fort =
is a countertop area made especially to serve as a landing area for =
dragonflies. This young boy may actually have run away from home. One by =
one, other children find what this boy has done and ask him to build =
their dream fort or tree house or cave; the boy becomes an architect and =
builder of numerous such edifices in this field. I believe this was a =
Children's Book of the Month Club book sometime in the late 70's."

Thanks for your help,
Nancy Peeling
