I just wanted to share this web site that may be of help to some list members, in a general way. It is the NCTE Anti-Censorship Center and is from the NCTE -- the National Council of Teachers of English (of which I have been a member off and on over the years.) http://www.ncte.org/censorship/ Here is the intro sentence - "NCTE offers immediate advice, helpful documents, and other support at no cost to K-12 teachers, schools, and districts that are faced with challenges to literary works, films, and videos, or teaching methods. " I have never had to use their help and would be interested to hear from those who have. I will post a HIT if there is interest. Thanks and good luck to those facing challenges.
