Section of School Libraries and Resource Centres to be held during the =
IFLA Conference in Boston.

Proposed papers should cover the theme:

School libraries: making a difference in learning.
    =20
School librarians have always known that an accessible, welcoming library, =
well-resourced and professionally staffed, improves the lives of children =
and young people. Increasingly there is evidence that leaning and =
achievement is better when libraries and librarians are integrated into =
the learning and teaching process. This Open Session of the Section will =
consist of presentations that consider the ways in which libraries, books =
and information make a difference.
Proposals for contributions are sought now.

An abstract should accompany the proposal, of at least one page.
    =20
The deadline is 30 December 2000. The result of the selection process will =
be announced by the end of January 2001.
