Netters, I need the collective wisdom of this group and I've searched the archives without finding an answer! I work in a very small library that serves 560+ students in grades PreK - 12. We have to stay in this same small room, but I feel I've just got to make some changes to the fiction. Now, all fiction is shelved together so beginning chapter books by Johanna Hurwitz and Patricia Reilly Giff share shelf space with John Grisham! We do have our easy picture books housed in a different area. Should I pull all the young adult fiction (or books for about 6th grade up), label, and house together? Can anyone think of a better way to do this? I'm hoping someone on the list has a similar set-up and a great idea! The physical space is very limited so I can't really create a new area....just shelves on one wall for YA and shelves on another wall for the easier fiction. Thanks for any ideas you might share.
