Tech: laptop monitor suddenly all bruised looking and strange colors

My Quantex lap top has suddenly started to have a bruised look and is pink
where it should be white.  There is one position in which I can place my
monitor and it looks normal.  I've tried to contact Quantex but no luck yet.
Any ideas?  Might it be a connection between the computer and monitor?
