Hi Friends,
After 25 yrs. teaching elementary 3rd, 4th, 5th grades and three
yrs. of library, I think I'm heading for Major Burnout!! I need to
know if anyone has any ideas for a new career I can persue. I'd
like to move into middle or high school, but don't know of any
openings for next year. Right now I am the librarian for the
Saturday school alternative program for high school kids. I love it
too!
I have a Masters in Ed. from Johns Hopkins, certified to teach
Special Ed. and 3/4 finished with my Masters in The Teaching of
Instructional Tech. and Library Science.
I love researching.........have excellent computer skills.......
learn quickly............great organizational and planning
skills............excel in classroom management...........and love
challenges.

Hopefully, someone can help move me into another direction. It's
time I rejoined the world of adults. (and I'm not referring to the
kids!) If I was a new teacher starting out right now, I'd be
leaving for sure! Teaching elementary has become a business of data
driven maniacs and I need to get out as soon as I can before burnout
becomes breakdown.

Thanks,
