I am interested in hearing from anyone on the list who has a "Learning Center" in their library. I have proposed the idea to my Headmaster and he is very interested. We are a private high School in Maine that functions as a public HS. We have about 750 students and are thinking of having the "Leaning Center" open after school (hrs. 7-5, before and after school) in the Library, it would be staffed by library staff and teachers. We would like to set up homework help sessions and we want to encourage study groups to use the space. Our computer lab is in our library so this will also be a part of the learning center. If anyone out there is doing anything similar I would love to hear about your set-up, programing ideas etc.... We are very much in the planning stages and are considering all possibilities. Thank you.
