I'm sorry that I did not save the query about the selective service v. McConnell(?) case because I got the answer immediately, which makes me think that perhaps, and no offense intended in any way, even librarians need a refresher course in search engine strategies. Here's what I did: on google.com I typed in: +"selective service" +McConnell (or whatever the proper name was) and got the reference - I believe it was a NY case. Hope this helps someone , and that I don't sound too know-it-all. I absolutely love Google, and my students are beginning to appreciate it too.
