Thanks to those who responded to my inquiry about using Web Whacker. Here's what I learned -- 1. On copyright implications of saving an entire web site locally, from Carol Simpson: "I can address the copyright issues. Yes, email permission is sufficient (keep a copy). Make sure you erase the files when you are finished. Be wary about re-distributing the materials (linking them from your web page, etc.) Just use them locally in your class. Ask for permission ALWAYS. Remember, the copyright holder is not required to respond to you. If you don't get an answer, you don't have permission." Carol Simpson, Ed.D. Asst. Professor - School of Library & Information Sciences University of North Texas 2. Apparently Internet Explorer 5.x has the capability to save web pages. One person suggested going to File, then Save As & saving the page & any links in a folder. Another suggested going to Favorites, choosing Add to Favorites & checking the box that says Make Available Off Line. Then you can click on Customize & choose how many levels of links you want. Thanks to all! ------------------ Hilary Anderson, Librarian T.C.
