Happy Monday, Here are the responses to my request for G/L magazines aimed at a teenage audience. One school subscribes to The Advocate, a national news publication. (It used to come with personal ads, but they have been separated into a different publication). One title (XY) is aimed at young men in their 20s and is more "racy" than is acceptable for HS libraries, in my opinion. Another title mentioned was Glimmer, published by Concord Academy in Concord, MA. Blue Jeans was aimed at HS age lesbians, but I can't find out if it is still published. Your local G/L community newspaper (e.g., The Seattle Gay News) Others suggested contacting the following organizations: Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) Gay and Lesbian Student Educators Network (GLSEN) Lambda Rising bookstore in Washington, DC There it is. :) Julie Anderson, Librarian Liberty High School, a National Blue Ribbon School Renton, WA (425) 837-4901 andersonj@issaquah.wednet.edu =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
