Pedometer Problems?

I purchased my pedometer over the holidays and tried to get familiar
with it during my walk about the neighborhood.  I consider myself
technology proficient, but the one I purchased has been a challenge to
operate!  I have some more work to do to feel confident with it and its
operation.  I just wanted to warn others to experiment with the one you
purchased before beginning to record distances walked.  I still am not
sure if it is me, or the device!
I had measured a distance with my car that I walk in my neighborhood.
The pedometer does not agree with that measurement, so I have some more
investigating to do  so that I am reasonable sure that I am measuring
distance walked correctly.
