My school's counselor requested a book about someone who was quite a "star," athletic, popular, could learn easily, but then had an accident whereby he became withdrawn, somewhat learning disabled, depressed, etc. She wants a book that he and his parents could both read to see that there is hope -- that life is not all that bad that they concentrate only on the bad parts. This is an eighth grader. So far, I suggested _Joey Pigza Swallowed the Key_ which is not really what we are looking for. Thanks in advance for any titles you can suggest. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
