I have decided to "weed" the following book from our K-4 collection and wonder if any one would know of a group (social justice / US history related to minorities...) that would be interested. It seems to me to be respectfully done (unlike some racially-charged publications of the same time period?) but does not suit the needs and understanding of my clientele. Black Americans (originally published under the title The Story of the American Negro) Written by Earl Schenck Miers. Grosset and Dunlap, 1965, 1969. If you or someone you know would like it, please respond to my email address and we'll work out the arrangements. +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+ Marcia Dressel, Library Media Specialist Osceola Elementary/Intermediate Schools PO Box 128, 250 Tenth Ave E Osceola, WI USA 54020 dressel@oz.osceola.k12.wi.us +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
