LM_NET: Library Media Networking
I was told I could sell my weeded books, BUT.....I would have to do the
planning, PR, selling, collecting the money, etc. THEN, send all the
money to our Central Administration for deposit in the "general fund."
I would not see any of the proceeds! It's just as well, I think. If
I'm getting rid of books because they are "well-loved" that's one
thing. If I'm saying the books are out-dated and contain incorrect
information why would I want my kids to take them home? (Not to mention
all the community members who feel if you're "making money" by selling
books, they must be worth keeping! A waste of tax dollars! Spoiling
our children for nothing but a shiny new cover! ) I think it's a no win
situation. Out of sight, out of trouble!
