JOB: Children's Librarian - Public Library in MA

Hi LM_NETters:

I was asked by our town librarian to post the following opening. Stow is
a small (population 6000) town halfway between Boston and Worcester MA.
We are suburban/rural with 4-1/2 golf courses and over a half dozen
apple orchards. We have a wonderful facility and an incredible
circulation! The library is really the heart of the town. If you are

Position Available
Children's Librarian

Randall Library is seeking a 25 hour per week children's librarian to
run story hours and after-school programs, answer reference and readers'
advisory questions, assist with homework, act as a liaison with the
public schools, and run the summer reading program. He/she would also
work on the circulation desk using the Minuteman Library Network's DRA
software.

The position requires a college degree and at least 2 years experience
in a public library children's room or school library. DRA experience
preferred. One evening per week and every third Saturday required.
Prorated sick, vacation, and holiday time. $15.21/hour. The position is
available January 2, 2001.
