gen: design software

Hello,

One of the FACS teachers has asked me to find software which actually
allows students to design clothing.  She's not interested in simple
programs which allow you to drag and drop different clothing onto a
model-such as the Barbie programs that are available-because these are high
school students.  Does anyone know where we might start looking for a MAC
version of this type of software?
