. This is the first time that I am sending a message. I have been lurking on
this listserv for a number of weeks and I have to tell you that I am more
than impressed by the professionalism displayed each day. I have just started
my first two courses in the quest for my MLS. I am particularly interested in
school media specialists. Something that struck me as I was reading the
posted messages was the apparant differences among the teachers in the school
and the school librarians. In a number of messages I got the impression that
the librarian was not viewed exactly on the same level as the regular
classroom teacher. Am I way off base in this assumption? Or perhaps the cases
I refer to are the exception.Either way I am totally excited about my chosen
career path. Again-thank you and sorry about the error.
