I am a graduate student at the MLS program at CW Post College in Long Island
NY & an amateur historian. I have been monitoring the activity on the
listserv & I do have book recommendations for anyone teaching AP American
History. It is the Oxford History of the United States series. There are
plans to produce 10 volumes in the series & there are currently 4 volumes
that have been published. I hope this is helpful.

Oxford Series: The Glorious Cause: The American Revolution by Richard
Middlekauff; The Battle Cry of Freedom: The Civil War Era by James
MacPherson; Freedom From Fear: The American People In Depression & War by
David M. Kennedy; Grand Expectations: The United States 1945-1974 by James
M. Patterson.
