Thanks to all who replied.... I was interested to find out that this book is recommended for 4th-6th grade students tho.....Here are the replies: ********************************* I have a book that is #1 in the Diadem series by John Peel. The copy I have is a Scholastic paperback printed in Aug. 1997. ***************************************** I have a series called "Diadem." John Peel is the author and they were published by Scholastic in 1997. I have 6 volumes. I don't know if more were published later or not. They are about 4-6 grade level. On the back of each is this statement "The Diadem is the circuit of all worlds. If thediadem dies, We die. Only the Chosen Three can save us. Only the Chosen Three can unlock the Secrets of the Diadem." The first six titles are: Book of Names, Book of Signs, Book of Magic, Book of Thunder, Book of Earth, and Book of Nightmares. ****************************** John Peel wrote the DIadem Chronicles. But I have only seen the first book "The Book of Names". I got it from a Scholastic Book Fair, and they never have carried the others. Good Luck. ***************************** You've probably had your answer long since, but my son enjoyed these books immensely, so I'm quite sure it's the series of six books written by John Peel. The name of the first is "Diadem", and the second is "Book of signs". They're available in paperback through Amazon. ************************ Again, thanks to all who replied!
