HIT: Elem. discipline and check in/out

Many of you have requested a HIT on the topic of discipline
while checking in/out and whether to allow all students on the
floor to choose books at the same time and what to do with
those NOT choosing books.  I would be pleased to compile
a HIT, but it will just be TOO long.  Each response I got is
probably 5 paragraphs long.  If you're REALLY interested,
please send me your e-mail and I will copy/paste everybody's
e-mail addresses onto the responses and forward them.  There
is really no way to compile a hit.  Each response was meaty
and lengthy as many people explained their circumstances.
Very helpful to read, but impossible to compile a regular HIT.
So, if you're interested in a million forwards, send me your
e-mail address!  (It may be Tuesday before I get this done.)
